Positive Parenting Post-Divorce

This is a new group run by Dodie Blomberg.  This positive parenting series is based on the philosophy and teachings of Alfred Adler and Rudolf Dreikurs and the classic Positive Discipline books by Jane Nelson and Lynn Lott as applied to parents in divorce.  Positive Discipline is an approach that is neither permissive nor punitive.  Positive Discipline is respectful, encouraging and helpful to both parents and children.  These classes will help participants focus on kindness and firmness at the same time, learning dozens of helpful tools and skills, reduce power struggles and create more joy in parenting!  Positive Discipline is facilitated using experiential activities so learning occurs in the heart as well as the head.  This series of classes is designed for parents or caregivers with children between the ages of 3 and 18 who are looking for real parenting solutions that encourage the development of important life skills (cooperation, problem solving, responsibility, self-control and more).  This is a six week parenting series.
